The development for the La Tienda (The Store) of Hecho en Puerto Rico was my first website that I developed from the ground up. It was also the first time I was introduced to what an e-commerce website development is. The main tools that were used in the creation of this website were WordPress and WooCommerce. At this point in my job I had only been doing maintenance for the current existing websites in the company, that were using the Joomla CMS. So for this development the WordPress CMS was new to me, but the company wanted to use the tools I mentioned before for the creation of this e-commerce website.

Furthermore, for this project I worked really closely with the client and the project manager in order to capture the vision that they wanted. It was a very hefty project that I was tasked to do alone, but in the end we managed to deliver a clean and responsive website that met the client’s need. It was a big project considering the type of client that we had, so the stress and sleepless nights were pretty common. Nevertheless, after the project was done the files were handed to the customer and the big headache was finally ceasing.
